The Introduction provides guidance for the practice. The Retreat Sessions are accompanied by chanted prayers and have periods of silence for silent mantra repetition,mandala offering and meditation.
Gen Kelsang Zopa, modern Buddhist monk and Resident Teacher at Bodhichitta Buddhist Centre, will lead this retreat.
Gen Zopa has been presenting the profound and practical teachings of the Buddhist path to enlightenment throughout Canada for over 20 years. Renowned for his clarity and depth of his teachings, his warmth and practicality bring to life the ancient art of meditation.
The price is $10 in advance or $15 at the door and includes 4 meditation sessions.
Registering in advance speeds the line for everyone. You may do so at the next tab. You must have a credit card. You may pay at the door with cash or cheque only.
If you are a Centre Supporter*, your price is $0, but we deeply appreciate your registering in advance.
Light snacks will be provided at breaks. There are many restaurants to choose from in the area for lunch, or you may bring your own (vegetarian only, please.)
If you have a mandala kit you should bring it.
*Includes all monthly payers – GP, FP or TTP.

There is no cost for Centre Card holders, but we request that you register in advance. Thank You
You may also pay at the door on the day of the event with cash or cheque. Please have your cheque made out to Bodhichitta Buddhist Centre. The cost at the door is $25.
If you find you are unable to attend, you may request a refund less $2 processing fee up to 3 pm the day before the event.

Located on Blanshard between Broughton and Courtney, just next to the Central Library with the parking garage underneath. Close to bus lines on Fort and Douglas.
Bike Parking Information: There are 4 bike racks in the adjoining plaza area (near the library entrance) and 2 bike racks on the first garage level near the ticket booths (walk your bike down the garage ramp.)
Car Parking Information Map
We are near 2 City Parking Garages and the City On Street Parking rates are shown on the map below. Both are free after 6 pm and on Sundays. The first hour in the Parking Garages are free. Free on street parking is available for 1-2 hours on most of the unmarked streets (You only have to walk a couple of blocks). There are also Robbins and City run surface lots nearby with posted costs.
