Weekend Retreat at the Centre
Freedom From Fear
A Weekend Refuge Retreat in the City
with Gen Kelsang Zopa
Friday – Sunday, November 25 – 27, 2016
7pm Friday-12:30pm Sunday
Bodhichitta Kadampa Buddhist Centre
970 Blanshard St, Victoria, BC
Fear is present in all our lives. As long as we have irrational fear we are not free. But once we discover why we feel fear we learn that fear is baseless; there is – literally – nothing to be afraid of. Spiritual refuge means finding inner protection from our problems and fear by developing special insights and realizations.
On this retreat we have a perfect opportunity to discover and deepen our experience of refuge by connecting with Buddha’s blessings and receiving the encouragement of spiritual friends. Then we can quickly and easily make progress on the path to liberation and enlightenment. During retreat we temporarily withdraw from our usual routines and activities, and learn how to relax and develop peaceful, positive minds through meditation. This event will include instruction (teachings), guided meditations, and chanted prayers.
