Avalokiteshvara (1000-armed)

Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara

Sunday March 5, 2017
9:30am-3:30pm
Bodhichitta Kadampa Buddhist Centre
970 Blanshard Steet, Victoria BC

Join us for this very special day of blessings and inspiration! Avalokiteshvara is the Buddha who appears to us in order to teach us how to increase our love and compassion. In this special form, Avalokiteshvara arises to help us develop peaceful, happy minds, control our delusions, solve our problems, and finally become enlightened, just like him. His many arms remind us that the thousand Buddhas of this Fortunate Aeon are all within his heart. His eleven faces teach us that he honors his own Guru, Buddha Amitabha, and that he works endlessly to help suffering living beings throughout the world with countless emanations, which include pure spiritual teachers.

In the empowerment and the ensuing commentary, Gen Zopa will give commentary to the practice of Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara, including commentary to the prayers, The Yoga of Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara.

Everyone is welcome!
